Our private creative workshops are the perfect way to gather, laugh, and create something beautiful — no experience required! We bring everything you need for a memorable, hands-on experience — you simply provide the space and guests.
How It Works
1. Pick a date and location.

•Choose your preferred date and location (home, business, event venue) for your private DIY Workshop. We schedule private DIY Workshops 7 days a week.
•Review the location and space requirements here.
•A minimum number of registered guests is required. Click here for guest requirements based on city/town.
2. Reserve your date .

•Give us a call at (605) 646-3040 or email us at blackhillsmakery@gmail.com to find out if you're date & time is available and reserve your date.
•We do require a $50 deposit to hold your date.
•The full deposit is refunded once the party minimum has been met. Click here for guest requirements based on city/town.
•We'll email you a private registration link for your party to send to your guests.
3. Invite guests.

•Your guests will need to pay individually via your registration link.
•Guests will need to register at least 5 days prior to the workshop.
•There are no refunds. If a guest is unable to attend, they can send someone in their place or their supplies can be left with the host.
Workshop Details:
•Duration - 2 1/2 hours
•All tools, materials, and instruction is included.
•No previous knitting or crafting experience required.
•Cost
$74 and up, depending on the size you choose. Includes everything from start to finish - jumbo chenille yarn, tools and instruction.
•Chunky Knit Baby Blanket ($74) - 56 yards of jumbo chenille yarn; finished size approximately 24" x 34". Perfect size for babies, toddlers & pets!
•Chunky Knit Blanket ($95) - 140 yards of jumbo chenille yarn; finished size approximately 40" x 60". This will cover an adult of medium height from their toes to their nose.

-The instructor will arrive at least 30 minutes early to help host set up and will be ready to start the workshop on time for guests.
